General Description:

The League of Conservation Voters, Inc. (“LCV”), a non-profit organization, builds political power to protect people and the planet. We envision a world in which tackling the climate crisis, confronting environmental injustice, and strengthening our democracy lead to cleaner and healthier communities, good, well-paying jobs, and a more just, equitable, and sustainable planet for all.

For more than 50 years, LCV has fought for solutions to the interconnected threats our environment and democracy face. We do so by working with and holding elected officials accountable, mobilizing, organizing, and building grassroots power in communities, electing candidates who share our values, and partnering with and supporting our 30+ state affiliates across the country.

The Data Analytics Fall Internship is an immersive program to work with membership and environmental data while supporting organizing programs across five key states. It will provide opportunities to gain experience with database administration, conduct training for Climate Action and GreenRoots organizers, and assist with data analysis. Through hands-on experience with a CRM database, SQL coding, and research, an intern will gain technical skills needed to analyze the effectiveness of LCV's strategies to protect communities. This internship will also provide opportunities to promote data stewardship by ensuring volunteer and member data is protected and analyzed equitably. This role is ideal for an individual passionate about defending our democracy and protecting our climate, and is looking to advance their technical skills in a mission-driven environment.

LCV is hiring a Data Analytics Intern who will support the Associate Data and Project Analyst in overseeing the data and reporting for LCV’s issue advocacy program, Climate Action, and its electoral member mobilization program, GreenRoots, and will ensure the team has the proper training and documentation on various tools to meet their strategic goals. Special projects include creating progress-to-goal reports for GreenRoots, creating database training materials for political organizers, and analysis of Climate Action and GreenRoots programmatic goals.

In alignment with our organizational values, we strive to provide community-building and learning opportunities for all interns. The Data and Analytics Intern will join a Fall 2025 internship cohort that will have access to a variety of professional development opportunities including informational interviews with staff, office hours, Mid-Term and Final Evaluations, and organization-wide trainings and discussions. Additionally, all LCV interns are required to complete a Capstone Project, which is a self-directed project that gives interns the opportunity to showcase the skills they have developed over the course of the internship, and contribute original research or deliverables to the organization. Through these experiences, our internship program is designed to support professional growth, and equip interns with the tools and skills needed for continued development.
