Location: Remote (with potential for some in-person tasks depending on location)

Pay Rate: $17/hour

Hours: Minimum 8 hours per week, up to 20 hours per week if desired

Start Date: Mid-February 2025

End Date: Mid-April 2025

About DJs at the Polls:

DJs at the Polls is a 501(c)(3) nonpartisan nonprofit organization that places DJs at polling locations across target states on Election Day to create a celebratory and welcoming voting environment. Our mission is to increase voter engagement and make the democratic process accessible and enjoyable for all.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data and Operations Intern to support our team during the busy lead-up to April 1st, Election Day in Wisconsin, for the state Supreme Court race. This role will focus on assisting our Data Director, assisting with Operations, and possibly assisting with the volunteer program closer to election day. The ideal candidate is a problem solver with strong organizational skills and an interest in supporting impactful, nonpartisan civic engagement efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with maintaining and updating databases, including DJ and event logistics.

  • Support operational workflows to ensure smooth execution of programs leading up to and on Election Day.

  • Collaborate cross-departmentally to support other teams as needed.

  • Help coordinate and track assignments and schedules.

  • Prepare and organize reports related to data and operations.

  • Provide support in the days leading up to and on Election Day.

Qualifications:

  • Current student or recent graduate preferred; we will work with students to provide internship credit if desired.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Experience with data management tools or platforms (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets, or CRM systems) is a plus.

  • Ability to commit to at least 8 hours per week, with flexibility to work up to 20 hours per week.

  • **Availability all day on April 1st and generous availability in the days leading up to Election Day. (**We will provide a written work excuse or communicate with professors if needed to excuse your absence.)

  • Passion for civic engagement and enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

  • Familiarity/involvement in Wisconsin is a plus
