Nebraska Donor Alliance Data Director
The Data Director will be responsible for supporting the Nebraska DonorAlliance’s data infrastructure and analytics needs to provide strategic guidance to stakeholders and partners, develop voter contact universes, and manage the Alliance’s internal data infrastructure and processes. Our ideal candidate is a problem solver, quick to pick up new skills, can communicate clearly about data, and is dedicated to progressive candidates and causes.
Job functions:
Support the Nebraska Donor Alliance’s data needs and infrastructure
Work with large datasets using SQL and other data management tools
Assist with the creation of universes, track program progress, and lead reporting and analysis
Use mapping and data visualization tools to display voter file and program data and other information and analysis
Must have:
Comfort with SQL and working knowledge of Google BigQuery or similar relational databases such as CTA PAD, Civis Platform, and/or DNC’s Phoenix
Excellent research skills and ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to non-technical audiences through writing and visuals
Ability to manage several tasks and projects concurrently and to prioritize work effectively
A strong commitment to progressive causes and a passion for using data to support them
Awesome to have:
Familiarity with voter file data, election results, statistical models, and/or polling data
1-2 cycles of progressive campaign experience, especially working with political data
Previous experience with targeting for electoral, political, or advocacy campaigns, particularly for field, direct mail, and/or digital programs
Experience with data visualization and/or mapping platforms (e.g. Looker, Tableau, PowerBI, QGIS)
Prior work with mapping software like ArcGIS or QGIS
Familiarity with scripting and statistical languages like Python or R
Experience working in Nebraska
The Data Director position is based in Nebraska_ or remote. _This is a full-time role with an annual salary of $80,000 - $90,000 based on experience.
