We are seeking a highly skilled, diverse and motivated individual to join our team for the role of Data Engineer. In this role, you will work under the Head of Engineering to build and maintain pipelines for our data analysts to ensure full and accurate data moves quickly and effectively. 

What You Will Do

• Building and supporting data transformation pipelines using our data warehouse (BigQuery) and data modeling tool (DBT).

• Working with the Head of Engineering to define and prioritize the analytics roadmap.

• Working with technical and non technical stakeholders to make data driven decisions and ensure that data collection and delivery is consistent and accurate. 

• Maintaining Courier’s data infrastructure

• GCP (BigQuery, Cloud Run, Cloud Build, Google Data Studio)

• DBT 

You may be a good fit if you have SOME of these:

• Like working in a startup environment where sometimes priorities change rapidly. 

• Enjoy working on different types of projects with options to improve systems already built.

• Have extensive SQL experience (BigQuery preferred)

• Can set up analytics infrastructure and work independently without much oversight.

• Have the ability to be creative and personable, and articulate ideas clearly.

• Have proficiency with Python and or another object-oriented programming language (R, Java, Scala, etc…)

• Have knowledge of Google Cloud Functions and Google Cloud Build or comparable cloud computing services.

• Have experience with git-based version control platforms, like Github, including CI/CD services, such as Github Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI, etc.

• Have experience modeling using DBT or other analytics engineering services.

• Have at least two years of experience in data engineering.

Bonus Points if you:

• Experience building modular and reusable ETL or ELT pipelines to cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery, Redshift or Snowflake.

• Have worked with digital media teams
