Higher Heights Leadership Fund, a 501(c)(3) organization, and its sister organization, Higher Heights for America (Higher Heights) are the leading national organizations providing Black women with a political home exclusively dedicated to harnessing their power to expand Black women’s elected representation and voting participation and advance progressive policies.
Higher Heights was founded by Black women for Black women’s political growth and equity, with a winning plan for building collective political power and expanding Black women’s elected leadership. Higher Heights’ mission includes:

THE ROLE:
The Data Manager(s) will assist the Vice President of Institutional Development as well as other cross-departmental executives. Duties include managing VAN administration, progress-to-goal reports, Actblue and financial uploads, Mobilize support, staff or candidate data training and our data maintenance system. The ability to collaborate across departments, including programs, communications, political, operations, and executive is essential. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys solving problems, has high attention to detail, enjoys diving deep into data sets to ensure accuracy of reports, and can juggle multiple tasks at once in a sometimes-high pace environment.
The ideal candidate has a passion for politics and a belief that Black women’s representation is paramount to democracy and will make the difference in politics. This person must have the ability to see the whole picture and be a forward thinker in a growing organization. Think digital organizer—who centers people and their experience and engagement.
This role will report to the Vice President of Institutional Development.
This is a full-time position that requires some travel. This is a hybrid role requiring routine work in one of Higher Heights' offices in the New York City or Washington, D.C. (DMV) metropolitan areas.
WHAT YOU’LL ACHIEVE:
Help lead VAN, EveryAction, Actblue management and administration to track volunteer, donor, and elected data
Administer staff and volunteer text and call campaigns
Create and run remote training on tools and data processes
Create, update, and improve training materials
Know how to build tools and forms to track, engage, expand a network
Create, update, and improve documentation for staff on data entry & management
Assist with rapid response reporting on organizing program health, metrics for external communications, and more
Build and manage organizing reports; quality check existing reports
Perform research in areas including past election data, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:
At least 3-5 years of relevant experience
Prefer at least one cycle of campaign experience or experience with political data but not required
Experience creating and owning trainings
Technical Skills (preferred, not all required)
Advanced Excel/Sheets proficiency
Experience administering VAN, Mobilize, EveryAction, or similar CRM
Solid analytical reasoning and methods
Experience with any of the following is a plus
Mid to high level VAN experience
Competency in SQL or other relational database
GIS, data visualization, or mapping experience
Experience with political data, modeling, and experiments
Experience with scripting and automation
Familiarity with statistical programming languages like Stata, R, Python
Nontechnical Skills (preferred, not all required)
