Position Overview
The Data Manager will lead the day-to-day operations of the MS Data Hub, supporting coordinated voter engagement efforts across multiple organizations in Mississippi. This role will work across both c3 and c4 programs to ensure data is accurate, accessible, and used effectively to support organizing, outreach, and long-term power building.
This is a hands-on role that sits at the center of a multi-organization effort. The Data Manager will work closely with partners across the state including advocacy groups, community organizations, and coalition members, ensuring data systems are consistent, usable, and aligned with agreed-upon data sharing practices.
This role will also support programs operating in fast-moving environments, including special elections and newly drawn districts, where timely and reliable data is critical. The ideal candidate is deeply committed to strengthening democracy in Mississippi and expanding voter participation and access.
Salary range: $70,000 - 90,000 (final range dependent on experience and scope)
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for Data Hub operations, ensuring alignment across multiple organizations
Administer core platforms (NGP VAN and CTA), including system management, documentation, and best practices
Manage voter data across entities, including maintaining pipelines, monitoring syncs, and troubleshooting issues
Build and maintain reporting in CTA to track outreach, voter contact, and program performance
Support targeting, list-building, and data-driven outreach strategies in collaboration with organizing and campaign teams
Analyze data to inform targeting, list development, and microtargeting strategies
Support coordinated voter contact programs, ensuring data is effectively used for outreach and reporting
Manage user access and enforce data governance policies, including maintaining c3 and c4 data separation
Provide training and ongoing support to staff and partner organizations
Other responsibilities as needed

Qualifications
Experience working with voter files and tools such as NGP VAN, CTA, or similar systems
Familiarity with SQL, BigQuery, Looker Studio, Google Suite, Excel
Strong data management skills and experience working with large datasets
Comfort working across multiple stakeholders, organizations, or partners
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain data accuracy and consistency
Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences
Comfort working in a fast-paced and evolving environment
Willingness to learn new tools and systems as needed
Commitment to supporting organizing, advocacy, or civic engagement work
Preferred Experience
Experience working in Mississippi or the Southeast
Familiarity with c3 and c4 structures and compliance considerations, including time tracking
Experience with reporting tools or dashboards (CTA, Tableau, or similar)
Experience training staff or managing user access and permissions
Working Conditions
Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends during peak program periods
Willingness to travel within Mississippi as needed to support partners
Comfort working in a remote or hybrid environment using tools like Google Workspace and Zoom
