We have an immediate opening for a Data Specialist. The ideal candidate will have experience in politics or public opinion research, a background in analytics, and possess a meticulous attention to detail in order to implement and maintain stringent data standards.
Primary Responsibilities
Compile statistical data and generate research findings for quantitative research projects
Produce, combine, manipulate and maintain data files using SPSS and Excel. Knowledge of R is a plus
Develop and apply weighting methods to ensure representative data on surveys
Produce survey topline reports and cross-tabulation tables from datasets
Prepare quotas for surveys to ensure surveys are representative
Respond to data inquiries from clients and team members
Prepare PowerPoint presentations using topline reports and cross-tabulation tables
Review, edit, and proofread materials including surveys, cross tabulation tables, reports and PowerPoint presentations
Job Qualifications
BS/BA in Statistics, Analytics, Political Science, Public Policy, or similar education and/or experience
2-5 years work experience in a related field
Experience in politics or public policy required; campaign experience a plus
Expertise with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Working knowledge of SPSS; knowledge of R a plus
Experience with online research, specifically political, demographic and census research
Familiarity working with state and county level voter file data
Ability to multitask and work productively in a fully remote, fast-paced environment
Strong time management and prioritization skills, with keen attention to detail
