The Field Director will be responsible for recruiting, training and mobilizing a team of volunteers and interns to help elect a NY State Senator. Working alongside campaign leadership, the Field Director will draft door knocking/phone banking scripts, manage interns, volunteers, and potential field staff, prepare fliers and track data to make sure the campaign is on track to meeting field goals.
We are currently seeking a Field Director for a Senate race based in Brooklyn, NY.
The ideal candidate would possess:
• Strong communication skills, ability to engage with volunteers, interns and voters;
• Organized and ability to multitask;
• Experience door knocking and/or phone banking;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office/G Suite required;
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, demanding work environment
• Experience using VAN other related campaign software preferred
• Prior campaign experience in a field capacity strongly preferred
• Fluency in speaking Mandarin and a working knowledge of the app WeChat/Weixin strongly preferred
• Management of interns and volunteers is a plus
Responsibilities include:
• Recruit, train and manage volunteers engaging in voter outreach efforts, including in-person canvassing and phone banking;
• Launch door to door canvasses across the district and manage all aspects of the turf cutting and tracking processes within VAN
• Supervise and coach interns; work with campaign leadership to brainstorm intern
projects, including community events;
• Assist with the planning and execution of campaign events;
• Launch door to door canvasses across the district;
• Work with Campaign Manager to track canvassing results on van and Excel;
• Other duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $4,000 - $6,000 (Monthly) (depending on experience and other factors)
