The Deputy Campaign Director will oversee the campaign's day-to-day activities and operations and assist the Campaign Director in ensuring the proper implementation of the ballot measure campaign plan. The ideal candidate is forward-thinking, strategy-driven, and can manage multiple priorities with meticulous attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
The Deputy Campaign Director will report to the Campaign Director and help oversee all day-to-day aspects of the campaign plan. Among other duties, the Deputy will:
Ensure effective communication and coordination between all elements and departments of the campaign.
Identify potential obstacles to success early on and troubleshoot solutions.
Serve as Direct Supervisor for the Field, Data, Speakers Bureau, and compliance teams by ensuring these teams meet their goals and proactively communicate and collaborate.
Support with financial management and fundraising as needed.
Support with vendor communication and management.
Develop and run training for staff and coalition partners as needed.
Represent the campaign at events and meetings as needed.
Assist in securing o�ce space, equipment, and supplies as needed.
Required:
3 or more cycles of campaign experience, including a minimum of 2 cycles in a leadership/management role on a federal or state-level race
Experience applying principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion in previous work, especially in applying those principles in campaign management and administration
Experience overseeing staff and consultants and managing projects across teams
Experience with budget and cash flow management
Exceptional team leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Commitment to professional ethics and maintaining a supportive and healthy work
environment where all team members are empowered to succeed
Team player who is willing to step up when needed to get the job done
Proficiency with Google Suite, Calendar, and Microsoft Excel
Preferred:
Additional experience in either campaign finance, field, or communications
Proficiency with VAN and other Democratic campaign tools
Familiarity with or prior experience working on reproductive freedom issues and ballot measures

This is a full-time position based in Colorado and is remote within the state. Must have reliable, personal transportation and be able to travel around Colorado as needed. Must be able to hold this position through December 31st, 2024.
