Hamawy for NJ is hiring a Deputy Campaign Manager/Political Director to handle a diverse range of responsibilities, including helping to craft and oversee implementation of a comprehensive plan to connect with voters in a highly contested Democratic primary. This position reports to the Campaign Manager.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING…
Participating in high-level strategic decision making for the campaign
Helping to manage and create the candidate’s day to day schedule
Assisting in daily oversight of Field Director, Comms Director, and other staff
Being primary point of contact for elected officials, endorsing organizations, community groups, and other stakeholders
Staffing the principal at events
Being an advisor and sounding board to the principal
Participating in the writing of event and interview briefings, and participating in the briefing process
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This is a full-time, in-person position in New Jersey that will end when the primary campaign concludes in June 2026, with the possibility of extension to November 2026. Campaign hours are expected of any successful candidate.

COMPENSATION
This is a salaried position that will be compensated between per month, based on experience.

Experience volunteering or working on a political campaign;

Experience in senior staff on a Congressional or other campaign
Personal ties to NJ-12 or New Jersey.
