Cinde Warmington’s campaign for Governor of New Hampshire is seeking a motivated, hard-working Deputy Communications Director to start immediately.
Job Description
The Deputy Communications Director will be responsible for a number of tasks, including but not limited to:
· Developing a proactive earned media strategy
· Pulling together weekly press clips
· Developing press releases and talking points
· Inviting press to public events
· Coordinating with national, state, and local press to arrange interviews and respond to requests for comments
· Building and maintaining relationships with members of the press
· Preparing the candidate for interviews
· Drafting remarks for public events as necessary
· Working with the candidate and campaign manager to meet deadlines and achieve goals
· Helping with other aspects of the campaign as necessary
Qualifications
· Strong verbal and written communications skills with attention to detail
· Understanding of traditional and new media
· Ability to work long, irregular hours and travel as needed
· Ability to work independently and in team settings, handling multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines
· Level-headed temperament, calm demeanor, and sound judgment
· Motivated self-starter attitude, with excellent organizational habits, detail-oriented and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment handling multiple assignments with tight deadlines
· Reliable transportation
· Excellent organizational habits
· Strong interpersonal skills
· Passion for electing Democrats
Preferred
· Experience working in New Hampshire politics
