The Daryl Parks for Mayor campaign is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Deputy Finance Director and Staff Assistant to oversee and execute the candidate’s call time and donor outreach program. This role is critical to ensuring the campaign meets its fundraising goals and maintains strong relationships with donors and supporters. The Deputy Finance Director works closely with the Finance Director, Campaign Manager, and the candidate to manage daily call time operations and related fundraising logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and staff the candidate’s call time program, both in person and remotely.
• Oversee the call time program from start to finish, ensuring consistency, discipline, and efficiency.
• Maintain and manage donor databases, including data entry, list maintenance, and data cleaning.
• Coordinate closely with the Finance Consultant and Campaign Manager to meet fundraising goals.
• Track pledges, process follow-ups, and support donor conversion efforts.
• Assist with donor outreach and engagement, including scheduling and staffing the candidate for donor meetings and events.
• Lead and manage the campaign thank-you note and donor acknowledgment program.
• Coordinate with and assist the candidate and serve as a body person as needed, ensuring the candidate is prepared,
on time, and supported during call time blocks, donor meetings, and select campaign activities.
• Serve as a point of coordination between the candidate and campaign staff during assigned blocks of time, helping manage materials,
briefing documents, and transitions between activities.
• Support additional campaign projects and administrative tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced campaign environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain discretion and professionalism when working closely with the candidate and donors.
• Comfortable working flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.
• Must have a vehicle, driver's license, and the ability to travel as required.
• Prior campaign experience is preferred but not required.
• Must be able to relocate to Tallahassee, Florida within 1-2 weeks of hiring. Temporary supporter housing
can be provided if necessary
