Robin Kelly for Senate is searching for a Deputy Finance Director for the 2026 election cycle to help grow and lead Congresswoman Kelly’s fundraising program. The ideal candidate is a creative thinker, strong communicator, and team player. This position is based in Chicago and the employee will be expected to regularly staff the Congresswoman in-person and virtually.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the campaign’s call time program and team-wide systems for prospecting, providing strategic guidance as the team grows a robust program of outreach
Lead the campaign’s in-state fundraising program, working with the in-state consultant to set goals and supplement prospecting and event build with staff help
Staff the candidate at in-state fundraising events as needed
Manage the call time manager and finance assistant
Oversee other projects and systems such as the campaign’s acknowledgements program, compliance and database maintenance, etc.
Assist the finance director as needed with national fundraising trips
Other duties as assigned, which may grow over the course of the cycle depending on the employee and campaign’s needs and demonstrated strengths.
Qualifications:
At least two cycles/3 years of experience in political campaign fundraising, including as an intern
Self-starter with a strong work ethic who is willing to work weekends and evenings in a fast-paced campaign environment
Excellent computer skills, especially Excel and Google Spreadsheets
Familiarity with NGP, ActBlue, and call time software preferred but not required
Salary: $7,500-$9,000 per month based on experience and qualifications
