Defeat Extremists seeks a highly motivated, strategic, and independent individual to serve as our National Finance Director. This role is fully remote and can be based anywhere in the United States.
Defeat Extremists is a fully remote PAC. We raise money to recruit and support viable expansion seat red-to-blue flips in cheap media markets. ** If the following describes you, you might be a good fit for the role:**

I have at least one cycle of experience as a finance staffer on a campaign or other similar experience, and am looking for a permanent, non-campaign role

I have raised towards a seven figure budget
I thrive in remote work environments
I strongly prefer very hands off management
I do not need a large team environment to be motivated
I thrive in an incentive based workplace and love getting max out checks
I thrive doing the dirty work of finance (donor research, call time lists, etc)
I love call time and get energy from building relationships
While we don’t expect you to have done all of the following in previous roles, in this role you will be responsible for the following:
A minimum of two hours of donor call time a day
Managing and building for remote and in person fundraising events, including but not limited to staffing in-person events
Managing recurring donor retention program
Securing and staffing fundraising meetings
Running thank you note program and a very small in house mail program
Writing and updating a prospectus
Building and managing major donor relationships
Coordinating with endorsed candidates for fundraising including but not limited to events and split sends
Potentially speaking on the record to press
Compensation for this position is $75,000 with a 5% bonus for every major contribution ($500+) and recurring donation above a total raise of $500,000. Total compensation is capped at $125,000.
We anticipate the role will begin in February, but will be flexible with you for the start date.
