Location: Michigan (flexibility with hybrid options, temporary remote work)

About the Campaign

A U.S. Senate candidate in Michigan is running a bold, people-powered campaign to represent the state of Michigan in the U.S. Senate. We’re building a diverse, motivated, and mission-driven team to fight for working families, protect our democracy, and deliver real results. With Michigan being a critical battleground state, we’re looking for a Deputy Finance Director who’s ready to make an impact.

 

Position Summary

The Deputy Finance Director will play a key role in executing a robust, multi-channel fundraising program. Working closely with the Finance Director, this individual will oversee day-to-day operations, assist in managing donor pipelines, and contribute to strategic planning to ensure we meet our ambitious fundraising goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in building and executing the overall finance plan to raise funds through high-dollar donors, digital fundraising, call time, events, and PACs.

  • Help manage and expand donor pipelines by tracking prospects, coordinating follow-ups, and ensuring CRM data integrity.

  • Lead candidate call time logistics, including prepping call sheets, tracking commitments, and ensuring follow-through.

  • Oversee donor research and briefing memos in coordination with campaign staff and consultants.

  • Staff the candidate at some events and fundraising meetings as needed, including some travel throughout Michigan.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in campaign fundraising or a related field (nonprofit development, political consulting, etc.)

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication

  • Proficiency with NGP VAN, Google Workspace, ActBlue, and Microsoft Excel

  • High level of discretion and professionalism with sensitive information

  • Ability to work long hours, including evenings and weekends as needed

  • Michigan ties or battleground state experience is a plus
