JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Summary: The Iowa Democratic Party is seeking a Deputy Operations Director for the 2026 Coordinated Campaign. This role will report directly to the Operations Director and will be responsible for supporting the execution of all campaign logistics. The Deputy will serve as the primary point of contact for financial tracking, field office needs, and equipment/supply procurement to ensure our statewide staff has the resources needed to elect Democrats up and down the ballot.

Key Responsibilities & Expectations:

  • Office Management: Oversee the search for, setup, and maintenance of coordinated field offices across Iowa.

  • Logistics: Manage the ordering, inventory, and distribution of campaign materials and merchandise for all departments.

  • Financial Tracking: Assist the Operations Director in gathering receipts and maintaining records for compliance reporting and budget reconciliation.

  • IT & Support: Coordinate with IT and other vendors to ensure all staff have functional connectivity and equipment.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • At least 1 cycle of experience in campaign operations, logistics, or administrative management.

  • Strong proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Excel for tracking inventory and expenses.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with extreme attention to detail.

  • A desire to work collaboratively to implement creative solutions to unique problems

 

This position is full-time and lasts through November 2026. Applicants must have a reliable laptop, cell phone, and vehicle. Applicants must also be comfortable working irregular hours including nights and weekends.
