The Michigan Senate Democratic Fund (MSDF) is a full-time political organization dedicated to protecting the Democratic majority in the Michigan Senate. To help ensure this success, MSDF is seeking a highly motivated and organized Deputy Political Director. The Deputy Political Director will be responsible for interfacing with a selection of districts across Michigan as well as assisting with caucus-wide political operations. The Deputy Political Director will report to the Political Director.
Primary Responsibilities
Work with a select portfolio of campaigns and campaign managers to develop campaign plans and provide feedback on their budget, finance and field plans.
Collect weekly field and fundraising reports from campaigns.
Serve as the main point of contact for assigned state Senate campaigns, including highly competitive swing districts. .
Assist with caucus-wide political operations
Job Requirements
Campaign management experience (at least one cycle of serving as a manager)
Familiarity with Votebuilder/NGP
Experience with Google Suite
Commitment to protecting and expanding a Democratic majority in the Michigan Senate
High attention to detail
Time management skills and problem solving skills
A track record of developing and maintaining strong working relationships
Compensation
Salary is commensurate with experience and competitive. Compensation includes health, dental, and vision insurance.
