JOB DESCRIPTION

UltraViolet (UV) is hiring a Development Director to oversee fundraising plans across our 501c3, 501c4, and SuperPAC to advance feminist political and cultural change. The Development Director is responsible for raising the annual revenue for UltraViolet ($5M across all entities for FY24) by maintaining the development systems, managing the development team staff, and representing UV publicly and in meetings with our donors and funders.

About UltraViolet:

Since 2012, UltraViolet has been the premier national organization advocating for gender justice issues using creative, strategic campaigning and digital-first organizing. UltraViolet drives feminist cultural and political change by exposing the white supremacist patriarchy and creating the conditions for a more just and equitable world for all.

Together with our more than 1.2 million members, we have taken over 17 million actions driving feminist cultural and political change. UltraViolet members have taken down major misogynists from Bill O'Reilly and Harvey Weinstein to Roger Ailes and Rick Ross, led the fight nationwide to combat racist and sexist disinformation during the 2020 election, campaigned for justice for women of color murdered by law enforcement, forced TikTok to include deadnaming and misogyny in its hate speech policies, and more.

We work across a broad spectrum of interconnected issues that impact the lives of women, girls, and gender-expansive people, including gender-based violence, disinformation, health care, economic security, reproductive rights, and racial justice. In all of our work, we center frontline communities disparately impacted by sexist policies and practices, especially Black women, Indigenous women, women of color, people with disabilities, low-income women, immigrants, survivors, and LGBTQ+ people.

If fighting for a world beyond white supremacist patriarchy--a world where all people can thrive with freedom and dignity--ignites your passion, then UltraViolet is the organization for you!

Job description:

Are you an accomplished, relational fundraiser who believes in the power of movement organizing and the power of resource mobilization to help funders and donors deepen their commitment to feminist culture change?

Are you a visionary leader and manager who excels in developing teams through clear communication, strategic planning, flexibility, and collaboration to achieve ambitious goals?

Are you excited by data-driven research, moves management strategy, stewardship and cultivation tactics, and the creative challenge of supporting a diverse portfolio of foundations and donors?
