We are looking for a skilled writer and strategist to support our Students Demand Action digital campaigns. This intern should be energetic, entrepreneurial, and ready to build digital campaign skills while helping the fight to end gun violence in this country.
In this role, you will:
Work in collaboration with Students Demand Action’s Senior Digital Campaigner to develop campaign strategy, draft copy, build landing pages, and more – to support Everytown's legislative agenda in states around the country
Work across channels – including email, SMS, digital advertising, and more – to drive offline impact to grow and activate our grassroots movement
Provide creative ideas for testing and content production
Support the creation of a digital campaign calendar and learn to manage all related processes
Learn to report and analyze digital campaign results and integrate findings into future campaigns
You should be a current college student with:
An interest in digital advocacy work
Exceptional writing, copy-editing, and proofreading skills
An interest in learning how to use HTML for email and landing pages
A demonstrated ability to synthesize materials into compelling copy that will drive grassroots action and audience growth in the gun violence prevention movement
The ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects
A desire to work in a fast-paced, campaign-like environment within a growing, diverse team with unpredictable hours in rapid response moments
An inclusive and equity-focused mindset with an interest in experimenting with new and creative concepts online
The position is remote or based in the New York City office following a hybrid work schedule of 25 hours per week.
The minimum hourly rate for this role is $17.00.
