Competitive School Board Campaign | Northern Virginia

A competitive school board campaign in Northern Virginia is seeking a creative and reliable ** Digital & Social Media Fellow/Intern** to help tell the campaign’s story online and grow its digital presence.
The intern will work closely with campaign leadership to create timely, engaging content that showcases the candidate, campaign activities, community engagement, and key moments throughout the race.
Responsibilities include drafting social media posts and captions, creating basic graphics, developing content ideas, capturing photos and short-form video, editing Reels and other video content, maintaining the campaign’s posting schedule, monitoring engagement, and attending select campaign and community events to capture content.
We’re looking for someone who understands social media, has strong writing skills, and can identify content that feels engaging and authentic. Experience with Canva, Instagram, TikTok, photography, or short-form video editing is a plus. Previous campaign experience is not required.
This is an unpaid internship. Interns who successfully complete the program will receive a personalized letter of recommendation and may use campaign leadership as a professional reference.
