Firm: Sunny Day Strategies
Position: Digital Associate
Location: Flexible (fully remote; in-person based in Washington, DC, or hybrid)
Sunny Day Strategies is a boutique woman-led digital consulting firm based in Washington, DC that partners with Democratic and progressive candidates and organizations to build and execute large-scale digital programs, including online fundraising in all its components, organizational startup and growth, persuasion advertising, and online advocacy.
We are seeking an organized and enthusiastic digital associate to support a variety of progressive clients during the 2026 election cycle.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Supporting outbound fundraising programs — including email and SMS calendaring, production, checklisting, and performance reporting.
Copywriting for email, SMS, social media, paid media ads, and websites.
Executing light back-end website updates (e.g., donation pages, landing pages, disclaimers, redirects).
Assisting with list growth and acquisition strategy across channels, including email list rentals, SMS prospecting, and direct-to-donate advertising.
Supporting testing and optimization efforts — including subject lines, SMS framing, creative, landing pages, and segmentation strategies.
Working within CRMs and fundraising platforms (e.g., NGP, ActionKit, ActBlue) to build, QA, and deploy content.
Collaborating with the rest of the Sunny Day team to ensure smooth delivery of program strategy and execution for clients.
Helping maintain internal tracking systems and reporting dashboards to monitor ROI, growth, and channel performance.
Engaging with clients through email, video meetings, and messaging platforms to coordinate work.
Successful candidates will have:
1–3 years or one campaign cycle of experience in a political or digital role, whether within a campaign, political party, nonprofit, or agency setting — or comparable volunteer experience with a strong desire to quickly build technical skills.
Exposure to or familiarity with online fundraising programs, including email and SMS.
Strong attention to detail, especially in proofreading or editing processes.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Passion for electing Democrats at all levels of government and supporting progressive organizations.
Exceptional candidates may also have:
Experience with NGP, Switchboard, ActionKit, ActBlue, or comparable CRM tools.
Experience tracking ROI and performance metrics in Google Sheets or similar tools.
Familiarity with Meta Ads Manager and digital creative testing.
A commitment to ethical online fundraising practices that treat supporters with respect.
As a small firm, we operate with an all-hands-on-deck approach. Team members work across national organizations and city, state, and federal campaigns. This position offers immediate opportunities to contribute meaningfully in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while helping elect Democrats across the country.
Compensation:
Competitive salary range of $60,000 – $72,000 dependent on experience; excellent benefits including 401K matching. Title, salary, and specific responsibilities may be flexible for the right candidate.
