JOB DESCRIPTION
The Ray Bilger for Congress Campaign is seeking a passionate and creative Social Media Intern to join their team. This role involves close collaboration with our Public Relations Manager to expand the candidate’s online presence and deepen community engagement through a strong, digital brand. Applicants from the PA-15 Congressional district are preferred, however, the applicant must be willing to travel and maintain regular communication with the team.
Location & Logistics:
- Hybrid: Must be based in or near PA-15 for on-the-ground filming.
- Travel: Occasional travel to campaign events required. (Mileage reimbursed at federal rate).
- Commitment: 10-15 hours per week (flexible around class schedules).
- Compensation: Unpaid but Course Credit is possible upon ask.
Intern Tasks

- Film and edit short-form vertical video (Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts) at candidate events and community stops.

- Manage the daily posting schedule across Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter),TikTok, and Bluesky

- Monitor comment sections and DMs to engage with supporters and flag questions for the PR Manager.

- Pitch content ideas per week based on local PA-15 news and national political trends.
Preferred Skills:

- Experience with Meta Business Suite or Later for scheduling.

- Familiarity with Canva for graphic creation.

- Previous work on a political campaign or advocacy group.
