JOB DESCRIPTION

Cooper for North Carolina (CFNC) is looking to hire a full-time Digital Content Manager to join our growing Digital team based in Raleigh, North Carolina. The Digital Content Manager will report to the Digital Director and be hands-on in executing our social media presence. The ideal candidate is adaptable, hardworking, and terminally online.

 

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years or 1+ cycles of experience contributing to a social media program in a corporate, political, government, or non-profit setting.

  • Excellent writing skills — quick, instinctive, and social-first.

  • Political and digital acuity — know what the current online trends are and how we can use them to win attention.

  • Experience juggling multiple tasks with similar deadlines.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Self-motivated team player.

  • Ability to work non-traditional hours as needed.

  • Familiarity with Sprout Social and content creation tools like Canva, Kapwing, or Adobe products.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Working with the Deputy Digital Content Director to ideate, write, and execute social posts across the campaign’s platforms and accounts.

  • Executing the campaign’s content calendar and social media accounts across all platforms – including but not limited to X/Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Threads, etc.

  • Writing social media posts in clear, concise language while staying on brand and on message.

  • Executing rapid response from initial identification to posting approved content.

  • Working with the Partnerships Manager to distribute content to online partners.

  • Assisting with other campaign-related activities as needed.

 

Compensation 

Salary: $7,500 per month. 

Healthcare premium covered by campaign. 

Hours: Full-time position. This position’s schedule will vary based on the needs of the campaign and point in the cycle, and is likely to require evening and weekend work over the course of the election cycle.
