The Ford for Governor campaign is seeking a full-time Digital Content Manager to join our digital team. The Digital Content Manager will report to the Digital Director and lead the day-to-day management and creation of digital content and social media, including driving content strategy, producing content, managing online interactions and collaborations, and growing our social media following.
Primary Responsibilities:
Concepting, filming, drafting, editing, and publishing original social media content – including short-form video, photos, graphics, and reactive content – for the Aaron Ford and Team Ford accounts
Planning, scaling, and growing video content across channels, especially vertical video
Maintaining the social media calendar on Trello to ensure content is drafted, edited, approved, and posted in a timely manner
Tracking content approval processes with comms, research, consultants, and stakeholders
Capturing content, including video content, at campaign events as needed
Using data, trends, and tactics to achieve steady growth across social media accounts
Monitoring news, tracking online conversation, and identifying trends across platforms
Working with and helping manage content ideation with campaign staff, fellows, and external partners
Assisting in content production during influencer and creator collaborations
Directing supporters online to boost content engagement, including during rapid response
Assisting with other digital team or campaign-related activities as needed
Qualifications:
Previous experience managing and growing social media accounts required
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, video editing programs, or graphic design preferred
Understanding of digital production best practices, such as angles and lighting, preferred
Excellent writing skills and an eye for attention-grabbing content
Strong attention to detail and an ability to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently
Ability to move quickly in fast-paced situations such as rapid response moments
Access to a car and ability to travel with the candidate and campaign in Nevada as needed
