Working Class Heroes Fund is seeking a Digital Director/Social Media Manager to support working-class pro-labor candidates. A successful applicant will be a self-starter, detail-oriented and highly organized, with a proven record of leadership skills and innovation. 

 

WCHF was founded by labor leader and independent Senate candidate Dan Osborn.

 

Overview

The Digital Director/Social Media Manager will be a key member of the campaign team, responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive digital strategy to reach voters and build support for the candidate.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive digital strategy, including social media, email, online advertising, and website management.

  • Manage all aspects of the campaign's social media presence, including content creation, community engagement, and paid social media advertising.

  • Develop and execute targeted email campaigns, including fundraising appeals, voter mobilization efforts, and event invitations.

  • Manage the campaign website and ensure it is user-friendly, informative, and mobile-responsive.

  • Track and analyze campaign data to measure the effectiveness of digital efforts and identify areas for improvement.

  • Stay up-to-date on the latest digital trends and best practices in political campaigning.

 

Requirements

Qualified candidates will have a passion for digital campaigning and a strong understanding of social media platforms and online advertising. They will demonstrate:

  • Proven experience in developing and executing successful digital campaigns, preferably in a political context.

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok) and their respective audiences.

  • Experience with email marketing platforms and best practices.

  • Proficiency in content creation, including writing, graphic design, and video production.

  • Experience with data analysis and campaign tracking tools.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Willingness to work non-traditional hours, including nights and weekends as needed.

 

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with paid social media advertising platforms (e.g., Facebook Ads Manager, Google Ads).

  • Experience with website development and content management systems (CMS).

  • Knowledge of digital fundraising best practices.
