JOB DESCRIPTION

Reports to: Deputy Director of Digital Partnerships

Location: Miami, FL

 

Debbie for Florida is seeking a Digital Intern to join a growing digital team. This person will work with the digital team to support video content creation, script writing, and support the influencer program.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor social performance across platforms and brainstorm different video concepts

  • Work across departments to monitor local news and help craft timely responses across platforms

  • Assist with rapid-response social content

  • Create graphics as needed

  • Attend in-person and virtual events to gather photos and video content

  • Help support the influencer and surrogate program both in Florida and nationally

  • Other responsibilities as needed

 

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 0-1 cycle/years of experience on a campaign, government, or advocacy organization (including volunteer work/internships)

  • Passion for social media

  • Graphic design experience

  • Experience drafting content for Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and/or Threads

  • Understanding of social media analytics

  • Eagerness to learn and think creatively

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines

  • Passion for flipping Florida and holding Rick Scott accountable

  • Access to cell phone and a laptop

  • A strong commitment to diversity, inclusion, equity and anti-racism

  • Valued Non-essential Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Spanish fluency

  • Florida ties

  • Experience with the Adobe suite of tools

 

Location:

This position is based in Miami, FL, and will involve some travel around the state.

 

Salary:

The salary for this position is $15/hour for an average of 25-30 hours per week.
