Georgia Youth Justice Coalition seeks a full-time ** Digital Manager** to grow, activate, and organize online communities both within and beyond our organization in service of a more just, participatory, and responsive democracy in Georgia.

Our work to engage communities, activate youth, and promote civic education empowers young Georgians as changemakers within their communities. About the Position

As the Digital Manager, you will work directly with the Deputy Executive Director of Development and Narrative, youth staff, and youth volunteers to translate on-the-ground organizing into compelling digital storytelling. The ideal candidate for the role is a creative person who communicates with authenticity and purpose. They are a thoughtful writer, intentional community builder, and strategic storyteller who understands how to turn real moments into content that moves people. They believe digital platforms can build belonging, shift culture, and create a political home for young Georgians who have never believed that politics could make a difference in their lives.

 

Role Responsibilities

  • Produce and maintain platform-specific content across social media, email, and SMS that reflects GYJC’s organizing, advocacy, and civic engagement work.

  • Create and publish video and photo based content from in person events, high traffic canvassing, on the ground organizing, and advocacy actions across the state.

  • Organize and engage existing digital communities on Discord, Reddit, and GroupMe to build belonging and sustained political participation for young Georgians.

  • Monitor community engagement and digital performance to strengthen relationships, maintain message clarity, and increase meaningful action from our base.

  • Knock doors, make calls, and high traffic canvass to identify storytelling opportunities and keep digital messaging grounded in lived experience.

  • Communicate proactively with your manager and your teammates when challenges arise, offering direct, respectful feedback and solutions-oriented thinking.

  • Approach youth leadership with real respect and care, recognizing their skills, insight, experience, and development as essential to organizational decisions and success.

  • Foster and maintain a positive, productive team culture.

 

Qualifications

  • Ability to distill complex political ideas into compelling, action-oriented messaging.

  • Familiarity with digital communications platforms including social and email tools.

  • Culturally competent in building and maintaining relationships across lines of difference such as race, class, sexual orientation, or gender identity.

  • Excellent time management skills, attention to detail, and flexibility with a willingness to meet and exceed goals, implement feedback, and problem-solve effectively.

  • Strong commitment to progressive values and to do the work that needs to be done.

  • Have a driver’s license, automobile insurance, and access to a reliable vehicle.

 

Working at the Georgia Youth Justice Coalition

This is a full-time, permanent position that reports to the Deputy Executive Director of Development and Narrative. Car travel within the state of Georgia will be required 20-25% for general execution of the role. We offer a generous benefits package which includes unlimited PTO; professional development stipend; and insurance plans for health, dental, and vision. Applicants must live in or be willing to relocate to Georgia for this in person role.

 

Salary: $47,000 - $55,000 based on experience
