JOB DESCRIPTION

The National Democratic Training Committee (NDTC) is looking for a digital marketing manager to develop and execute our email and text marketing campaigns to engage our audience, connect and convert our learners to NDTC events and opportunities, and support our overall marketing efforts. This role will plan, create and execute end-to-end email marketing and text campaigns, including content creation, segmentation, scheduling, and deployment. You’ll use data and conversion optimization techniques to help us reach more candidates, campaign staffers, and local Democratic leaders — helping them find the NDTC trainings and events that support their goals.

To succeed in this role, you will create compelling and engaging email and text content, build and improve the technical aspects of our email and text campaigns, and lead nurturing and email conversion funnels. You’ll use products like Mailchimp and peer-to-peer texting platforms to learner acquisition goals and drive event recruitment goals!

This full-time position will join the Marketing team and will report to the Associate Director of Marketing.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead NDTC’s digital marketing strategy, which includes managing NDTC’s email and text marketing strategy and overall email and text marketing calendar.

  • Create compelling and engaging content, including copy and calls-to-action, to connect our learners with the resources they need to succeed.

  • Manage the strategic deployment, scheduling, and execution of our email and text marketing campaigns.

  • Build and manage digital journeys and funnels in Mailchimp and create emails for optimal performance.

  • Develop comprehensive conversion optimization plans that incorporate tools like A/B testing in order to improve conversion and digital campaign performance.

  • Work with the data team to analyze data on learners in order to improve overall digital campaign performance.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of email campaigns with overall marketing strategies.

  • Research market conditions and email and text marketing trends in the industry in order to provide recommendations to the associate director of marketing that will increase conversion and drive organizational goals.

  • Use analytic tools to track, monitor, and optimize email and text campaigns based on historical performance.

Disclaimer: The job description is not designed to include a comprehensive listing of responsibilities that are required to be executed by the employee. In order to best serve NDTC’s mission, responsibilities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with reasonable notice provided.

The Ideal Candidate Will have:

  • Experience with email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp or Hubspot, peer-to-peer texting platforms, Google analytics, and HTML.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including a good attention to detail, and knowledge of grammar and style best practices.

  • Broad experience in managing integrated digital programs consisting of email and text marketing.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make actionable recommendations
