Job Responsibilities
Develop media plans based on client objectives and guidance from the account team and senior leadership
Negotiate with vendors to ensure the best possible inventory and rates for our buys
Work both internally and externally to ensure programs launch on time with 100% accuracy of targeting and budgets
Monitor campaign pacing to ensure budgets are delivering as planned, working with the ad operations team to ensure in-flight optimizations are being made regularly
Analyze reporting data to understand campaign performance and draft written analysis for client-facing reports
Recommend and implement changes to media plans based on performance data and shifting campaign priorities
Develop and pull audience profiles and counts from the voter file, understanding parameters and strategically refining the audiences as necessary to meet targeting and budget goals
Create and maintain relationships with a variety of vendors and data providers, frequently communicating with them via email about campaign details
When necessary, negotiate added value from vendors
Qualifications
At least 1-3 years of experience in a media planning role, having negotiated and planned media buys that have a mix of CTV, social media, OLV, and search inventory
Understand programmatic buying and how it fits into the media landscape. Be able to recommend what we should run through programmatic versus a direct deal.
Be up to date on industry trends, best practices, and new offerings – especially in the political space
Understand the types of targeting available with each partner and platform so you can recommend the best possible approach with each media plan
Very strong attention to detail and ability to follow a strict QA process, even when you are very busy
Experience and comfort with Google Sheets and Excel, including pivot tables and formulas
Thrive in a team environment and work well collaborating with others
Excels in a fast-paced environment and can handle multi-tasking several projects with tight timelines at once, ensuring tasks and emails don’t fall through the cracks

This position will be fully remote. Due to the nature of political work, there will be expected evening and weekend hours especially leading up to November 2026. This is a cycle position that will end on November 30, 2026, with the possibility of full time based on performance and need. The salary range for the position is between $65,000 and $75,000, commensurate with experience.
