JOB DESCRIPTION

**Job Title: **Digital Organizer Salary: $4,750 per month

**Reporting Structure: **Reports to the Digital Organizing Director

**Location: **Location is flexible within Montana, with preference for remote working from Missoula,

Billings, or Bozeman, or in-person in Middle Fork's offices in Helena

**Job Classification: **Full time, exempt. This is a temporary position through January 31, 2025.

Position Summary:

Middle Fork Strategies is hiring for the position of Digital Organizer to implement the digital organizing plan, build online volunteer teams, and spread progressive messages across online platforms through these volunteer teams. Digital Organizers will help make a compelling progressive narrative and combat misinformation and disinformation being spread online.

Primary Areas of Responsibility:

  • Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to participate in our Relational Organizing Platform and escalate online volunteer engagement with our program

  • Complete daily recruitment goals and tasks for volunteer recruitment calls, confirmation calls, and virtual trainings.

  • Create compelling content that ultimately mobilizes online communities toward progressive action.

  • Utilize data and metrics to optimize the program’s organizing approaches and content.

  • Proactively escalate issues, observations, opportunities, and insights to the Digital Organizing Director.

  • Other duties as assigned

Ideal candidates will have:

  • This position requires some working knowledge of best practices for communicating with local progressive organizations and communities via email, phone, social media platforms, and relational organizing methods.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively and clearly communicate

  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage many tasks at once

  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the varied and changing needs of the program

  • Desire to ask questions, receive constructive feedback, and grow as a professional

  • Commitment to equity and inclusion in working with fellow staff and volunteers

  • Access to a smartphone, laptop and comfortable with technology including social media

  • platforms

  • Discretion with sensitive information/volunteer data

 

The location for this position is flexible within Montana. Some in-state travel expected. The salary for this position is $4,750 per month. Middle Fork offers competitive benefits, including health insurance, matching retirement contributions, 12 days of paid holidays per year, and paid vacation.
