JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary:

Lisa Blunt Rochester for Senate is seeking a Digital Organizer. Lisa Blunt Rochester is seen as a rising star in the Democratic party and Co-Chair of the Biden-Harris Campaign. She has served four terms as Delaware’s At-Large Congresswoman. If elected, Blunt Rochester would be the state’s first female and first Black U.S. Senator. 

 

As a Digital Organizer, you will develop volunteer engagement and voter mobilization strategies through digital platforms, build and manage online volunteer communities, and scale the campaign’s distributed and relational organizing programs through digital platforms to expand and build volunteer capacity. This position is based in Wilmington and reports directly to the Organizing Director.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement volunteer engagement and voter mobilization strategies through digital platforms.

  • Serve as the point of contact and admin for all campaign digital organizing and online community tools.

  • Work to create online communities that can help elect LBR

  • Work with the Organizing team to:

  • Identity and recruit volunteers and volunteer leaders over digital platforms.

  • Create and manage volunteer events over digital platforms.

  • Create and manage volunteer communities over digital platforms

  • Train volunteers and Organizers in digital organizing best practices and how to use     digital organizing and online community tools.

  • Implement and manage the campaign’s distributed and relational organizing programs.

  • Work with the Organizing Director to engage, recruit, and mobilize key constituencies through digital organizing strategies and tactics.

  • Work with the Communications and Digital teams to engage, expand, and mobilize the campaign’s volunteer and supporter base through digital toolkits and content across all platforms

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • There are no formal education requirements for this position

  • Experience growing up or working in diverse communities and a demonstrated commitment to diversity and empowerment

  • Task and time management skills

  • Experience using databases to track and review data

  • Experience planning, setting up, and staffing events

  • Volunteer management

  • Access to reliable transportation and drivers license.

  • Familiarity with VAN, Mobilize, Google suite, and other campaign databases

  • Attention to detail when reviewing documents, and organizing personal workspace

 

Compensation:$4,000/month, $50/month cell phone stipend, health insurance
