Mikie Sherrill for Governor is seeking an experienced digital organizer to engage supporters and volunteers online.
An ideal candidate is someone who wants to be at the forefront of taking on the right-wing disinformation and messaging ecosystem by supporting and empowering engaged supporters and using creative tactics to reach disengaged, disenchanted, and apolitical voters online.They will possess the ability to create structures, train volunteer leaders, and build community, as well as a strong perspective and strategic vision for reaching voters in the modern media ecosystem.
They must be able to learn on their feet and juggle multiple projects on tight timelines.
Responsibilities
Design an innovative digital organizing program with a focus on engaging the campaign’s supporters, disseminating content and messaging in online spaces
Develop metrics of success for the digital organizing program, in addition to regular reporting around program health and growth
Collaborate with the Organizing Team to support and grow direct voter contact efforts
Recruiting and training volunteer leaders to assist with the above efforts
Expanding the network of out-of-state volunteers taking action with Mikie Sherrill for Governor
Other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
Knowledge of volunteer management and digital organizing tools
Familiarity with internet culture and an understanding of the diverse spaces that voters engage in online
The ability and desire to work closely with a team and communicate effectively amid changing conditions
Willingness to work long and irregular campaign hours, including some nights and weekends
1 cycle of experience working in a digital organizing role
