JOB DESCRIPTION

Grassroots Analytics' mission is to provide innovative data solutions to amplify forward-thinking voices, causes, and people.

Grassroots Analytics (“GA”) maintains a detailed database on more than 20 million active American donors, including data on net worth, ideological preferences, political donation history, non-profit donation history, demographics, and contact information.

On GA’s Digital Team, our team of digital experts works to democratize fundraising and set new standards for innovation. We can – and do – try something new every day, thanks to the power and scale of our database.

Our team motto is “one team, two products,” and we’re seeking a Digital Strategist with the flexibility, creativity, and confidence of experience to deliver for both Peer to Peer list rental clients and full-scale programs in our Digital Lab. This is a position designed for growth, as the Strategist develops a balance of independent leadership and 360º project management with a team of collaborators.

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize, set, and follow content calendars for full-service clients, with an eye toward unique deadlines, relevant dates, and hooks

  • Write compelling email and text fundraising content in accordance with best practices

  • Develop expertise in quality assurance for all outgoing client content across full-service and Peer to Peer

  • Effectively delegate, collaborate, and communicate to balance mix of full-service and Peer to Peer responsibilities

  • Maintain robust testing and tracking procedures to challenge assumptions and measure success

  • Make innovative use of GA’s extensive database to grow lists and optimize fundraising

  • Lead client communication for assigned full-service clients, building productive, proactive, informative rapport with all client contacts

  • Produce, segment, and send emails and texts across platforms, learning use cases for each

  • Establish reporting and troubleshooting processes

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years or 1 complete election cycle of experience contributing to a digital fundraising program

  • Experience may come from a campaign, nonprofit, digital firm, or any other dedicated cause you can translate into this role

  • This role is focused specifically on email and text fundraising. While social media, action advocacy, and marketing experience are valuable and welcome, none is the job at hand. Your cover letter should explain how you will _translate _those skills into email and text fundraising

  • Strong writing skills within a range of styles and formats, to include digital fundraising

  • Experience working with CRMs, SMS platforms, and donation platforms

  • Facility with data analysis, revenue and ROI tracking, and projections

  • Working knowledge of HTML

  • Openness to feedback, willingness to be wrong, and flexibility to pivot when necessary

  • Passion for and belief in the power of digital fundraising to influence our future

  • Demonstrated commitment to social justice, equity, and inclusion

**The salary range for this position is $65,000 – $70,000 plus benefits, with the possibility of signing and performance bonuses. **This is a full-time, in-office position based in our office in the Chinatown neighborhood of Washington, D.C. Candidates must be willing to work in-office.

We offer 33 days of PTO + two days for every year with GA; 11 federal holidays; and full office closure between Christmas and New Years. Additional benefits include healthcare, dental, and vision insurance; paid parental leave; mental health and sick days; 401K with employer match; profit sharing; and more.

Applicants should provide a resume and a one-page cover letter that describes the unique value they are prepared to bring to this role.

Even if you do not meet every qualification listed here, please still apply and make a case for what you bring to the table!
