The Director of Donor Advising, East Coast, who reports to the Senior Director of Donor Advising, is charged with cultivating, stewarding, and developing the political and philanthropic investments of individual donors through and in alignment with the strategies of Way to Win’s family of brands.
This role is a highly motivated and goal-oriented connector, community builder, fundraiser, and organizer. Key to one’s success in this role will be powerfully communicating Way to Win’s theory of change and strategic investments across political and philanthropic vehicles. The Director of Donor Advising, East Coast, will be a dynamic individual who knows how to powerfully bring people together and inspire them to make significant investments in alignment with a common goal. They will have both strong interpersonal skills as well as a deep attention to detail and excellent project management skills.

Grow Way to Win membership through prospecting and recruitment:
Working with the Way to Win Executive Team, Senior Director of Donor Advising, and with support from the Manager of Membership and Advising Administration, develop and lead a strategy to identify prospective members and execute a member recruitment plan for their region; and
Working with the Senior Director of Donor Advising, set, manage and track quarterly membership recruitment goals for their region.
Sustain, renew, and upgrade membership through an excellent member experience and high-quality advising:
Develop and execute personalized 1x1 member cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities for donors in their portfolio to maximize members investments through and in alignment with Way to Win vehicles.
Coordinate with the Senior Director of Donor Advising and Director of Membership, and with support from the Manager of Membership and Advising Administration, develop and deploy strategies to maximize membership renewals in their portfolio year over year.
Work closely with all Executive Team and Senior Director of Donor Advising to plan, prepare, and execute individual member 1x1's and solicitations.
Work closely with Executive and Political Teams to develop personalized and specialized slates to advise member giving across vehicles.
Ensure and execute up-to-date data tracking in Salesforce and otherwise regarding member activity, interactions (email, calls, meetings), and giving within their portfolio.
Coordinate with and support the Director of Membership Engagement, Manager of Membership and Advising Administration, and others in executing a high-quality membership experience through membership-wide engagements such as member calls, national events, communications, and stewardship, as well as regionally focused engagement, recruitment and fundraising events; and
Oversee and execute personalized stewardship of members in their portfolio.
Strategy Expertise:
Develop and maintain expertise in Way to Win's political strategies and interventions in order to powerfully communicate them to and answer questions from individual members in their portfolio either in writing or through in person verbal communication.

Your approach to fundraising is grounded in systems and structures that maximize fundraising activities and ensure continuity and long-term success.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
7+ years of experience and demonstrated expertise in relational fundraising, development or advancement with a track record for balancing relational work with the operational and organizational underpinnings necessary for success.
3+ years of direct experience in frontline fundraising major gifts (from five to seven figures).
Demonstrated success in identifying, prospecting, and cultivating new donors to an organization's mission, particularly donors who are new to charitable and/or political giving or seeking new avenues to make an impact through their giving.
Demonstrated ability to digest and powerfully communicate complex programs and strategies to motivate philanthropic or political investments.
Strong listening, interpersonal, communication, time management, and problem-solving skills while maintaining a devotion to detail.
A background or experience in organizing or fundraising for social justice movements and political organizations is a plus; and
Experience in fundraising and knowledge of progressive, philanthropic communities on the East Coast are preferred.
Salary and Generous Benefits Package
Salary Range: $140,000 - $160,000
