Background: Yes on 4 is a statewide campaign of allied organizations and concerned citizens working together to protect Floridians’ access to reproductive health care and defend the right to bodily autonomy.
This campaign is focused on winning Amendment 4, the campaign to remove politicians from private medical decisions around abortion. From March to November 2024, the campaign will focus on raising money, earning media, mobilizing voters, building coalitions, and securing 60%+ support at the polls.
Candidates should have successful experience leading organizing efforts with statewide or local campaigns or with issue advocacy campaigns, with a focus on experience leading digital organizing programs.

Job Description:
The Distributed Canvassing Organizer for Yes on 4 is responsible for implementing statewide grassroots organizing programs focused on door to door canvassing to support the campaign's goal of passing a constitutional amendment protecting the right to abortion in the state of Florida. The Canvassing Organizer will work with the campaign’s Organizing Director to oversee and coordinate statewide canvassing programs to mobilize communities, raise awareness, and foster public support for the campaign.
Key Responsibilities:
Grassroots Mobilization:
Implement strategic plans to maximize distributed door to door canvassing programs and achieve campaign objectives, including meeting metrics for doors knocked, canvasses run, and counties engaged.
Organize training for staff, coalition partners, and volunteers focused on canvassing
Build relationships with partner organizations, advocacy groups, and community leaders to ensure they are following best practices for canvassing, including scripting and universe
Meet campaign metrics for canvassing efforts
Coalition Management:
Building and maintaining strong relationships with partner organizations interested in engaging with the campaign’s canvassing efforts
Collaborating with coalition members to develop joint strategies, coordinate actions, and leverage collective resources for door knocking.
Facilitating regular communication and coordination among coalition members dedicated to door knocking efforts.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in grassroots organizing, with a focus on door to door voter contact.
Strong understanding of reproductive rights and familiarity with the Reproductive Justice movement is highly preferred.
Outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively managing a diverse team of volunteers.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, including public speaking, campaign messaging, and report writing.
Proficient in utilizing organizing and communication software, including CRM systems, digital organizing tools, and social media platforms.
Detail-oriented, with exceptional organizational and project management skills.
Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing campaign needs.
Knowledge of Florida's political landscape.

Compensation:
Salary of $4,500 per month
A health insurance stipend will be provided.
Technology and travel stipends will be provided as needed.
Additional Requirements:
This is a full-time position. The position is based in Florida and is remote, within the state.
Must have personal transportation and be able to travel around Florida as needed.
Must be able to work on nights and weekends as needed.
Must be able to hold this position through November 30th, 2024.
