JOB DESCRIPTION

Stop the Ban (STB) is a campaign - made up of a statewide coalition of organizations and concerned citizens - working to defeat a Missouri Constitutional Amendment that would overturn the Missouri reproductive freedom ballot measure passed in 2024. The proposed ban addresses multiple unrelated subjects, banning abortion and health care for transgender youth as well as changing court processes designed to make it harder to protect reproductive freedom.

Position Overview:

Stop the Ban is seeking a passionate and dedicated Distributed Manager to join our team. You will play a crucial role in the campaign’s distributed program, spearheading voter and volunteer outreach, and building relationships with volunteers. This position is full-time, based in Missouri, and ideal for individuals who are motivated, personable, and eager to make a difference.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build out and manage the distributed program, including phonebanking and texting, to hit our voter contact goals.

  • Recruit supporters from across the state and country to volunteer.

  • Provide support as needed to volunteers to ensure they can easily participate in our distributed programming.

  • Identify, train, and empower volunteer leaders.

  • Spearhead other forms of volunteer engagement, such as weekly email blasts and virtual volunteer meetings.

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 cycle of campaign experience, experience in Missouri preferred.

  • Passionate about advocating for reproductive rights.

  • Proven interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to build relationships with staff and community stakeholders at all levels.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to take initiative.

  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, and ability to travel statewide.

  • Have access to a car, smart phone, and laptop.

Stop the Ban is an equal opportunity employer. We value a diverse workforce and an inclusive culture. STB encourages applications from all qualified individuals without regard to race, color, religion, gender,  gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, national origin, marital status, citizenship, disability, criminal history, and veteran status.
