Job Opportunity: Distributed Organizer –**** Activator Project
Location: Arizona’s 1st Congressional District/Phoenix

Reports to: Project Director, Multiplier Project
Compensation:$5,000 per month, with up to a $500 a month stipend for healthcare purchased through the marketplace
Start Date: Immediately
About the Role
Activate America is seeking a passionate, results-oriented ** Distributed Organizer** to pilot a distributed organizing program called the Activator Project — a bold new initiative to build long term grassroots organizing power in key battleground House districts.
The Distributed Organizer will identify and engage local partners for the purpose of building the long-term in-district capacity and strength of local organizing power. This role is ideal for someone with strong AZ-01-based campaign or issue-based organizing experience who thrives in a campaign-paced, results-oriented environment and wants to build real political power.
Key Responsibilities
Coalition Building
Build strong collaborative relationships across both state and community organizations to support and strengthen grassroots action and influence
Participate in coalitions to coordinate and amplify messages and activities that create synergy
Help to develop and strengthen coordinated communications and planning efforts among the district-based and statewide groups
Outreach & Engagement
Identify, recruit, and train new volunteer organizers at scale, moving those organizers up the ladder of engagement
Develop volunteer leaders who are capable of managing volunteer teams with supervision
Provide organizing tools and training, particularly in distributed and relational organizing, to expand the activist/organizer base and engage in advocacy/accountability/electoral work
Project Management
Coordinate 1:1s, strategy calls, and trainings with partners and internal team members
Track relationships and follow-up steps using project tools
Support the creation and sharing of organizing toolkits and resources
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2–3 years of successful experience in grassroots political campaigns, union or community organizing, or issue-based advocacy
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent relationship-building skills, both in-person and virtually
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Experience working with Mobilize, Every Action, VAN, and other platforms for outreach
Valid Drivers license and ability to travel locally
Nice-to-Haves
Experience with distributed organizing
Experience with relational organizing
Experience in developing and/or leading group trainings
Established political network in AZ-01
Spanish language proficiency
