JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Job Description:

 

The Distributed Text Organizer for Yes on 4 is responsible for implementing statewide grassroots organizing programs focused on textbanking to support the campaign's goal of passing a constitutional amendment protecting the right to abortion in the state of Florida. The Distributed Text Organizer will work with the campaign’s Organizing Director to oversee and coordinate statewide textbanking program to mobilize communities, raise awareness, and foster public support for the campaign.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Grassroots Mobilization:

  • Implement strategic plans to maximize textbanking programs and achieve campaign objectives, including meeting metrics for calls made, phonebanks run, and counties engaged.

  • Organize training for staff, coalition partners, and volunteers focused on textbanking

  • Build relationships with partner organizations, advocacy groups, and community leaders to ensure they are following best practices for textbanking, including scripting and universe

  • Meet campaign metrics for textbanking efforts

  • Ensuring compliance with partner textbanking 

 

Coalition Management:

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with partner organizations interested in engaging with the campaign’s textbanking efforts

  • Collaborating with coalition members to develop joint strategies, coordinate actions, and leverage collective resources for textbanking.

  • Facilitating regular communication and coordination among coalition members dedicated to textbanking efforts.

 

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in grassroots organizing, with a focus on voter contact.

  • Strong understanding of reproductive rights and familiarity with the Reproductive Justice movement is highly preferred.

  • Outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively managing a diverse team of volunteers.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, including public speaking, campaign messaging, and report writing.

  • Proficient in utilizing organizing and communication software, including CRM systems, digital organizing tools, and social media platforms.

  • Detail-oriented, with exceptional organizational and project management skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing campaign needs.

  • Knowledge of Florida's political landscape.

Compensation:

  • Salary of $4,500 per month

  • A health insurance stipend will be provided. 

  • Technology and travel stipends will be provided as needed. 

 

Additional Requirements:

  • This is a full-time position. The position is based in Florida and is remote, within the state. 

  • Must have personal transportation and be able to travel around Florida as needed.

  • Must be able to work on nights and weekends as needed.

  • Must be able to hold this position through November 30th, 2024.
