About Fuerte Arts Movement:

Fuerte Arts Movement is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering communities across Arizona to advocate for social and economic justice. Our mission is to build grassroots power and mobilize directly affected communities to address systemic issues and create positive change in their neighborhoods. As part of our 2024 election season efforts, we are executing a door-to-door canvassing program to engage and educate voters on key issues, encourage voter participation, and help ensure our community's voices are heard.

Position Overview:

Fuerte Arts Movement is seeking dedicated canvassers to help us reach our goal of knocking on 22,000 doors before Election Day. Canvassers will be responsible for engaging community members through direct face-to-face interactions, discussing important social and economic issues, and encouraging voter participation. This is a high-energy, goal-oriented role requiring effective communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.

You will be reporting to a field lead and will collaborate with fellow canvassers and team members to meet daily and weekly targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Door-to-Door Canvassing: Engage in direct conversations with community members about key issues and encourage voter participation.

  • Goal Tracking: Knock on an average of 85 doors per day, maintaining accurate records of doors knocked and conversations held.

  • Community Engagement: Provide accurate information on voting, housing justice, and other key topics relevant to the community.

  • Literature Distribution: Hand out flyers and informational materials at each door.

  • Field Reporting: Provide daily updates to the team lead on progress and any challenges faced during canvassing shifts.

  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all canvassing safety protocols and represent Fuerte Arts Movement professionally in the community.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to clearly and confidently engage in one-on-one conversations with community members.

  • Reliable and Self-Motivated: Ability to meet daily and weekly door-knocking goals and work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage time effectively, maintain records of canvassing results, and stay on top of daily tasks.

  • Team Player: Willingness to collaborate with fellow canvassers and contribute to a positive, results-driven team environment.

  • Physical Stamina: Ability to walk for extended periods and knock on a high volume of doors each day.

  • Knowledge of Key Issues: A basic understanding of social and economic justice issues (training will be provided).

Fuerte Arts Movement is an equal opportunity employer and encourages applications from individuals of all backgrounds. We are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace where all employees feel valued, respected, and empowered.
