JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Summary 

Earls for Justice is seeking a full-time Finance Director for the 2026 election cycle to lead an aggressive and creative fundraising program for a statewide incumbent Supreme Court campaign. 

 

This position will start ASAP and is based in the Raleigh-Durham metro area of North Carolina. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the team and principal to develop and implement a fundraising plan that includes call time, events, digital fundraising, bundling, and other strategic fundraising channels

  • Monitor the progress of the finance plan on a daily basis and work with the campaign manager to align with overall campaign budget and cashflow

  • Set overall fundraising goals and weekly, monthly and quarterly fundraising goals, regularly assessing progress to ensure these goals are met 

  • Lead the campaign’s fundraising events program (both in-state and national) by planning and executing events and managing relationships with key hosts

  • Regularly coordinate and staff principal for call time, particularly in early campaign phases

  • Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with donors, prospective donors, and key stakeholders, including building out the campaign’s finance committee in coordination with the campaign manager and principal 

  • Other responsibilities as assigned, based on the needs of the campaign

 

Qualifications:

  • At least one full cycle of work experience in political campaign fundraising

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment, with a high level of attention to detail

  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

  • Familiarity with NGP, ActBlue, and Numero is preferred

  • Experience fundraising in North Carolina and/or with national donors is a plus, but not required

  • Flexibility to take on new projects and responsibilities, as needed

  • Must be willing to work non-traditional hours, including weekends and evenings, and travel statewide as needed

  • Must have a valid driver’s license, car, and laptop 

 

Salary:$6,000 - $8,000 per month, commensurate with qualifications and experience
