Position Summary
Earls for Justice is seeking a full-time Finance Director for the 2026 election cycle to lead an aggressive and creative fundraising program for a statewide incumbent Supreme Court campaign.
This position will start ASAP and is based in the Raleigh-Durham metro area of North Carolina.
Responsibilities:
Work with the team and principal to develop and implement a fundraising plan that includes call time, events, digital fundraising, bundling, and other strategic fundraising channels
Monitor the progress of the finance plan on a daily basis and work with the campaign manager to align with overall campaign budget and cashflow
Set overall fundraising goals and weekly, monthly and quarterly fundraising goals, regularly assessing progress to ensure these goals are met
Lead the campaign’s fundraising events program (both in-state and national) by planning and executing events and managing relationships with key hosts
Regularly coordinate and staff principal for call time, particularly in early campaign phases
Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with donors, prospective donors, and key stakeholders, including building out the campaign’s finance committee in coordination with the campaign manager and principal
Other responsibilities as assigned, based on the needs of the campaign
Qualifications:
At least one full cycle of work experience in political campaign fundraising
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment, with a high level of attention to detail
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Familiarity with NGP, ActBlue, and Numero is preferred
Experience fundraising in North Carolina and/or with national donors is a plus, but not required
Flexibility to take on new projects and responsibilities, as needed
Must be willing to work non-traditional hours, including weekends and evenings, and travel statewide as needed
Must have a valid driver’s license, car, and laptop
Salary:$6,000 - $8,000 per month, commensurate with qualifications and experience
