Job Description

**Description:**
Blue Wave America is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a full-time Regional Field Director for the 2024 election cycle, leading the effort to drive turnout in the rural counties of Eastern Michigan spanning from Cheboygan county to the Thumb.

The Regional Field Director will recruit, train, and manage a team of full-time organizers, part-time organizers, and volunteers to hit ambitious voter contact goals. In addition, the Regional Field Director will execute Blue Wave America’s relational organizing and events program. This program will drive daily relational voter contact, relational capacity building, and volunteer-led community events.

Candidates with prior personal or professional experience in rural Eastern Michigan are strongly encouraged to apply.

Compensation begins at $5,000 per month, paid in installments twice monthly, in addition to 100% employer-paid medical insurance. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis. This full-time, temporary position is based in Eastern Michigan (top of the mitten to the thumb) and ends on November 30, 2024.

- Develop appropriate metrics and manage systems of accountability for staff and volunteers to track progress.
- Maintain and execute rigorous and efficient volunteer systems, including daily recruitment, onboarding, training, and escalation.
- Manage a team to build a volunteer base to implement and execute Blue Wave America’s overall relational organizing plan.
- Set and define goals for a relational organizing program in conjunction with the State Director.
- Coach organizers to build strong relationships with relational volunteers and volunteer event hosts, have strong 1:1s, and facilitate relational voter contact.
- Other duties as needed by the State Director to support the election cycle.

**Qualifications:**
- Experience training, supporting, and managing staff in an electoral or community engagement capacity. Candidates with rural organizing experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Goals-oriented and self-disciplined; able to meet tight deadlines and multitask.
