Founded in 2015, we’re a female-founded, female-led team of 20 specialized in building thought leadership by connecting clients to the right speaking opportunities at events and podcasts, and helping clients host impactful events. How You’ll Make An Impact

We’re looking for an Event Planner to join our Events team that can work directly with clients and run events from start to finish. As an Event Planner, you are the driving force for your clients’ success. Your day-to-day, under the guidance of our Events Director, will include project managing the events you’re owning, leading client communications and management, owning vendor relationships, initiating ideas to better streamline the events side of the business, and assisting with team-wide projects. As an Event Planner, you’ll be a vital part of the Events team and support cred’s profitability and reputation as an expert in the events space.

 

What We’re Looking For

 

The Event Planner is responsible for:

  • Managing event execution of multiple assigned clients and projects from start to finish

  • Creating and managing planning documents such as client agendas, work back timelines, event budgets, speaker briefs, speaker trackers, event databases and agendas

  • Updating and developing new templates for recurring client documentation to maintain consistency and improve efficiency

  • Owning written and verbal communication with the client, vendors, venues, speakers, sponsors, etc.

  • Owning, organizing and running client and internal team calls, and agendas

  • Owning follow-up on both internal and client action items

  • Maintaining accurate records of event expenses and contracts

  • Demonstrating clear ownership of time and schedule

  • Maintaining clear communication on statuses of assigned clients, events, and when additional support is needed

  • Identifying and escalating client challenges or roadblocks and suggesting solutions to keep project milestones on track

  • Supporting the management of event research and venue/vendor databases and trackers, ensuring shared systems remain accurate and up-to-date.

  • Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and client news and contributing to client/event ideas

  • Assisting with the creation and management of event marketing collateral, including blog posts, case studies, and sales material

  • Available to travel an average of 5-10 times throughout the year to serve as an onsite lead and contact for events or specific event components, ensuring smooth execution and coordination

  • Performing additional tasks as assigned within role scope

 

Desired Skills and Experience

 

Education / Experience:

  • 2-4 years experience in Event Management or related field/industry

  • 1+ years experience leading client calls and has previously been onsite for events.

  • Experience maintaining structured databases or trackers (events, speakers, vendors, venues) with high data accuracy

  • Ability to track and manage event budgets, invoices, and expenses with accuracy

  • Experience coordinating event logistics such as travel, run-of-show documents, F&B, vendors, and AV requirements

  • Proficient in Google Suite: Docs, Slides, Sheet, etc

  • Understanding of or experience in the Tech/AI industry is a plus, but not required

  • Experience using Slack, Notion, AirTable, Splash, Zoom is a plus, but not required

  • Project management experience is a plus, but not required

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating ideas clearly and succinctly

  • Resourceful, flexible, and unafraid to get extremely creative when needed

  • Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and take initiative

  • Passionate about building and executing successful events

  • Working knowledge of local venues, vendors, and attractions, with the ability to find and build new connections is a plus, but not required

  • Base Salary: $70,000 - $72,500

  • End of year profit sharing bonus after 1 full year of employment
