Salary:$4500 per month

Tammy Baldwin for Senate is seeking an Executive Assistant who will be responsible for driving and staffing the Senator at campaign events. The Executive Assistant will be critical to ensuring the Senator’s timely travel around the state and in keeping the campaign running smoothly. 

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and a strong team player. The position requires discretion at all times and an understanding of the magnitude of handling confidential information professionally.

This position requires the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously, often involving switching back and forth between tasks based on their importance.

This position also requires an individual with a valid driver’s license, a high comfort level driving a campaign vehicle in all parts of Wisconsin and a clean driving record.

 

Responsibilities 

 

  • Drive the Senator to and from events

  • Staff the Senator at campaign events

  • Serve as liaison between the candidate and staff while on campaign trips

  • Review the Senator’s schedule to ensure that it is accurate and the Senator has everything she needs every day

  • Work with staff to ensure the candidate is properly briefed before going into meetings and events

  • Assist scheduler with planning and logistics for campaign trips

  • Attend to other various candidate needs as directed by candidate or campaign staff 

  • Ensuring maintenance upkeep schedule is followed for campaign vehicle

 

Qualifications 

  • A valid driver's license and willingness to drive the campaign vehicle, a mid-size SUV 

  • A clean driving record

  • Ability to remain highly organized and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

  • A strong ability to remain calm under pressure and solve problems quickly

  • Strong teamwork skills, fostering effective collaboration with colleagues and peers

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, to meet deadlines

 

Compensation 

  • $4500 per month 

  • Mileage reimbursement for campaign travel in personal vehicle

  • Benefits options include: health, dental, vision, group-term and supplemental life, short and long-term insurances, 401(k), employee assistance plan, and more 

  • This is a bargaining unit position with the IBEW
