Summary: The New Hampshire Senate Democratic Caucus is seeking an Executive Director to oversee our entire electoral program, including managing all caucus staff, implementing our electoral program in 2026, and developing a long-term plan centered around decennial redistricting in 2030. The Executive Director will report to Democratic leadership in the New Hampshire State Senate. This is expected to be a permanent position, and we are seeking candidates who are interested in remaining with the NHSDC for several cycles. This is an in-person role in Concord, NH, with required travel throughout the state.
About the NHSDC: The New Hampshire Senate Democratic Caucus runs State Senate campaigns, in order to retake the New Hampshire Senate majority. We are planning an ambitious and comprehensive program to defeat the Republican gerrymander and build a Caucus capable of competing for the majority every cycle. Working for the NHSDC is a great opportunity to try new techniques or ideas, build experience across campaign departments, and help Granite Staters improve their lives.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all NHSDC operations, including candidate recruitment, fundraising, compliance, communications, organizing, and more.
Manage all NHSDC department directors, including the Finance, Communications & Digital, and Battlegrounds Directors.
Serve as the primary organizational point of contact for partner organizations, including the New Hampshire Democratic Party, the New Hampshire House Democratic Victory Campaign Committee, and national partners like the DLCC and States Project.
Manage and coordinate consultant relationships for the NHSDC and candidate campaigns.
Manage, track, and maintain the caucus budget.
Develop and implement a strong field program by leveraging campaign managers in targeted districts and coordinating with partner organizations.
Run a comprehensive candidate recruitment program, identifying the best candidates in every targeted district, developing a campaign plan in cooperation with our candidates, and hiring and placing campaign managers with all targeted candidates.
Coordinate all hiring and placement for NHSDC staff.
Ensure the NHSDC provides excellent service to all our members and candidates and is transparent and accountable to our leadership and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

3+ cycles of campaign experience with progressive responsibility, or equivalent. Experience working on state legislative elections and New Hampshire experience preferred.
Management experience, especially experience managing managers and managing experienced staff.
Understanding of standard campaign tools and technology, including NGP and Votebuilder.
Experience managing consultant relationships.
Experience managing an organizational budget.
Experience managing a principal and/or experience with candidate recruitment.
Salary, Benefits, and Requirements: Annual salary is $72,000 - $80,000, commensurate with experience, with health, vision, and dental insurance at no premium to the employee. This role requires significant work outside normal operating hours, especially during the on-year. Access to reliable transportation is required.
