About the Position

Rank MI Vote (RMV) is a non-partisan, non-profit family of organizations (c3, c4, BQC, PAC), with a mission of strengthening Michigan democracy and improving governing outcomes, by realizing the benefits of Ranked Choice Voting (RCV) in Michigan and its communities. In the seven years since its founding, the organization has matured into a nationally recognized leader in the Ranked Choice Voting movement, with four of four municipal campaign wins. The organization has built a statewide movement, after having been founded in 2019, winning a council-initiated city charter amendment for RCV use in Ann Arbor in 2021 and starting and winning signature gathering-initiated amendments in East Lansing, Kalamazoo, and Royal Oak in 2023. RMV is a citizen-led, volunteer-powered organization committed to voter empowerment and grassroots engagement to drive our work.

RMV is seeking an experienced, dynamic and dedicated Executive Director (ED) to lead the organization toward its vision of “more choices, more voices” in our democracy. The organization brings progressives, conservatives, moderates, Democrats, Republicans, Libertarians, and Independents together for RCV. The organization needs a leader that can work collaboratively with volunteer leaders, navigate effectively in a variety of political circles; elevate the organization’s presence statewide; diversify, engage and grow its donor/volunteer/supporter base; and lead a passionate and dedicated team of volunteers, independent contractors, and partner organizations in a remote work environment.

This is a full-time job offering flexibility in work schedules consistent with the increase and decrease of organizational operations throughout the year.
