JOB DESCRIPTION

THE OPPORTUNITY

Project 50 is seeking a fearless and visionary Executive Director who will launch and lead a new political action committee to advocate for equitable access to safe and affordable reproductive healthcare, including abortion. Project 50 is committed to substantially funding this new organization for its first three years of growth and impact. The Executive Director will initially report to Project 50’s Political Director and then to the new organization’s Board of Directors once established. Project 50 is a non-partisan PAC that invests in and grows state-based organizations to build political and electoral power at the local level to secure abortion rights in all 50 states. Our vision is that everyone, everywhere must have the right to make their own reproductive healthcare decisions to chart their future. Project 50 is building that reality, beginning in states that have banned abortion healthcare. (More information at www.project50pac.org.)

● Recruit and support a strong Board of Directors whose personal resources and networks will increasingly contribute to funding the new group.

● Oversee the day-to-day work of the organization and provide leadership to advance and protect reproductive freedom in Louisiana.

● Identify and deploy electoral tactics to contribute to electing pro-choice candidates.

● Track state and local reproductive health care-focused policy proposals and communicate to the public about their impact.

● Cultivate the organization’s commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion.

● Lead fundraising initiatives and serve as the organization's spokesperson.

CANDIDATE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

We are seeking candidates with a compelling leadership background and five or more years of experience, who will bring a majority of the following to the role: ● A demonstrated commitment to reproductive freedom and access to abortion healthcare.

● Experience nurturing equity, diversity and inclusion.

● A solid understanding of Louisiana electoral and legislative politics.

● A genuine excitement for donor relationship-building and fundraising, and a relevant track record of success.

SALARY / LOCATION

This is a full-time remote exempt position. The annual salary parameters are $95,000 to $110,000, based on experience.
