Location: Kansas (Statewide travel required)
Compensation: $4,750 per month
Vote Kansas PAC is seeking a ** Faith Organizer** to support our growing team for the 2026 election. This position will work closely with the organizing program and will report to the**[Manager]**.
This role will build and sustain critical relationships with congregations, campus ministries, faith-based student organizations, and community members across the state, while helping them comply with the Johnson Amendment. You will be an integral part of the organizing team, serving as the primary point of contact between Vote Kansas PAC and assigned regional congregations, campus faith communities, and coalitions.
Recruit, train, and support volunteer leaders within congregations, campus ministries, and faith-based student organizations to build local organizing capacity.
Develop and maintain relationships with pastors, clergy, campus ministers, chaplains, and student faith leaders to identify shared values and mobilize their communities around campaign priorities.
Engage college and university faith-based groups (e.g., Newman Centers, Hillel, InterVarsity, Muslim Student Associations, campus ministries) to build young adult leadership and involvement.
Plan and execute community meetings, listening sessions, and house meetings—including on college campuses—to identify local concerns and build grassroots leadership. Support the planning and execution of statewide actions, rallies, trainings, and events.
Track and report organizing metrics (leader development, event turnout, congregation, and campus engagement) in VAN or other modes as directed by Vote Kansas.
Represent the organization at coalition meetings, community events, interfaith gatherings, and campus ministry networks.
Collaborate with Vote Kansas staff to develop culturally and spiritually resonant outreach materials.
Work closely with the regional/state organizing team to align strategy with statewide campaign goals, providing regular updates to your supervisor on regional progress, challenges, and opportunities.
Demonstrated experience in community organizing, congregation-based organizing, campus ministry, or grassroots advocacy.
Strong relational skills with the ability to build trust across diverse faith traditions, generations, and communities—including young adults and college students.
Familiarity with (or willingness to learn) faith-rooted organizing models (e.g., IAF, PICO/Faith in Action, Gamaliel).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Self-motivated with strong time-management skills and the ability to work independently across a wide geographic area, including college campuses.
Willingness to travel regularly within the state and work evenings/weekends as needed.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent lived/professional experience in organizing, ministry, campus ministry, or community work.
Prior experience working with or within faith communities (clergy, lay leadership, denominational structures) or campus ministry settings.
Experience engaging young adult populations around civic or faith-based issues.
Knowledge of the state's political, civic, and higher education landscape.
Experience with organizing tools such as VAN, Mobilize, EveryAction, or similar CRMs.
