JOB DESCRIPTION

Four Lions Media (FLM) is an integrated media firm built out of decades of experience with foundations in data. Our team produces video content, digital strategy, and direct mail for the progressive community. Our clients include the leaders of International Unions, non-profit and advocacy organizations, voter persuasion groups, and candidates for electoral office. We have worked at all levels of the ballot and produce award-winning communications.

Responsibilities

  • Researching persuasive and interesting content that makes clients' communications concrete and memorable.

  • Writing concise, clear background memos that enable our team to do its best work.

  • Creating engaging slide decks and presentations tailored to each client.

  • Assessing clients' existing communications strategy, tactics, and writing.

  • Learning new material quickly and communicating complex subject matter in understandable language.

  • Copyediting and proofreading written materials to align with message imperatives, tone, clarity, and AP Style.

  • Write initial drafts of content, including social media posts and emails. 

 

Qualifications

  • A habit of consuming tons of news and a desire to change it for the better.

  • Writing experience in organizations such as political campaigns, government, issue advocacy groups, media, public affairs agencies, or similar.

  • Ability to manage time and responsibilities while working on multiple projects with competing deadlines.

  • Excellent organizational and internal communications skills.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Familiarity with social media platforms 

 

Additional Skills (preferred, not required)

  • Basic use of Canva and/or Photoshop

  • Basic video editing

  • Bilingual

  • Basic understanding of spreadsheets and metrics

 

Compensation is $17.50 per hour or up to $500/week, depending on availability. The position is in-person at our office in downtown Washington, DC.
