Job Description:
The Field Director will be a critical member of our campaign team, responsible for developing, managing, and executing our ground game. This role involves overseeing all voter contact operations, including but not limited to door-to-door canvassing, phone banking, and volunteer mobilization. The Field Director will work closely with the Campaign Manager to ensure our message reaches every corner of the district and engages voters in meaningful ways.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive field strategy that maximizes voter outreach and engagement.
Recruit, train, and manage a team of field organizers and volunteers.
Organize and oversee door-knocking, phone banking, and other voter contact efforts.
Track and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of field operations and adjust strategies as needed.
Coordinate with the Communications and Digital teams to ensure a unified campaign message.
Manage the logistics of field operations, including material distribution and event coordination.
Foster relationships with community leaders, organizations, and other stakeholders to build support for the campaign.
Requirements & Preferences:
Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Communications, OR related field preferred. A degree is not required if you have the relevant experience.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in campaign field operations, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for motivating others.
Proficient in data analysis and familiar with campaign technology tools (e.g., VAN, MiniVAN).
Ability to work long hours and weekends as required by the campaign schedule.
Passion for education and a commitment to the campaign’s goals and values.
