Role:
David Trone for Maryland is currently seeking a reliable, enthusiastic, and highly organized Field Director for the 2026 primary in Maryland’s 6th Congressional District. The Field Director will manage all direct field operations (both volunteer and paid field) to help build relationships with voters and increase voter turnout.
The Field Director will be responsible for the execution of the voter outreach plan as well as day-to-day management of field organizers, volunteers, and fellows. This will include recruiting, training, managing, and energizing volunteers, organizing and facilitating events, and representing the campaign at events.
Compensation: $6,500-$7,500 per month, commensurate with experience.

The campaign offers a competitive compensation package including the salary range listed above, health care benefits, potential travel and mileage reimbursement, and paid sick leave in accordance with Maryland law. Additional information regarding pay schedule and applicable benefits will be provided at the time of hire.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a large-scale field and organizing plan with the Deputy Campaign Manager.
Directly manage up to nine (9) field organizers and field interns.
Recruit, train, and provide resources, guidance, and technical support to field organizers, fellows, and volunteers in every stage of the campaign.
Organize, lead, and attend house parties and other outreach events.
Staff and provide support for the political team on an as-needed basis
Schedule, recruit for, and launch phone banks and canvasses.
Meet weekly door knocking and phone call requirements and ensure that volunteers are trained to properly.
Maintain accurate and reliable field data for use by the Campaign.
Provide the Deputy Campaign Manager with daily quantitative and qualitative reports on activities of the Field Program.
Experience, Skills, and Characteristics:
Two cycles of campaign experience preferred, ideally with one cycle serving in a paid role with demonstrated leadership experience.
Demonstrated commitment to progressive values and policy priorities.
Experience with community organizing and movement building. Additional organizing and/or distributed organizing experience is preferred.
Outstanding interpersonal skills, especially conflict resolution, listening, and ability to communicate professionally and empathetically.
Strong organizational skills, including the ability to not only stay organized yourself but also to help ensure others are organized.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Self-starter with great time management, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Experience using GoogleSuite and NGP VAN is highly preferred. Experience with Mobilize, Reach, Scale to Win, or similar system(s) is preferred, but not required.
Must have a driver license, access to reliable transportation, a smartphone, and a computer.
Willingness to work irregular hours and weekends.
